3 Plan-specified summary of the project completion

The project will focus on the well-being effects and the possibilities to develop physical exercise in the service stations of road traffic. In spite of the structural changes in manufacturing and commercial industries, the economic effects of road traffic are enormous in Finland: 90 per cent of goods traffic and 64 per cent of traffic performance (ton per km) are implemented by roads.
The popularity of Ecommerce will not decrease the importance of goods traffic in the future. Internationally Finland is a sparsely populated country, which causes the great economic importance of road traffic. These streams of traffic means a deal of traffic performance in the forms of commercial traffic and leisure traffic. Long distances will increase on the one hand the duration of long-term traffic performance and on the other hand the quantity and importance of breaks in the driving.
Traffic performance contains three parts: vehicle, road network and driver with possible passengers. The study focused on the performance of human factor, driver with possible passengers, providing physical exercise solutions, which maintain well-being and active state and are located service areas and service stations along roads (including shopping centers).
The construction of solutions based on the mapping of services focused on physical exercises and experimental development in the service stations. In addition to development of road traffic and logistics, this project linked with the well-being of transport professionals.
The main focus in the project was to study the services, which are provided by the traffic centers and service stations with the aim to improve work ergonomic and well-being of traffic professionals and participants of commute. Same services are available for the participants of the leisure traffic.
