In the Owner Change Service for SMEs -project managed by Central Ostrobothnian Entrepreneurs, the activities in accordance with the project application were carried out. The goal of the project was that the buyers and sellers of the companies find each other, the necessary expert help, e.g. business advisers in the area have been identified, they are offered training if necessary and that the issues regarding change of ownerships is actively discussed and that changes of ownership are helped to start. In addition, the goal was to spread information about the possibilities of different changes of ownership for entrepreneurs and find new innovative means to give information. Despite the challenging corona pandemic situation, the project succeeded well in the goals set for it. Buyers and sellers of companies were guided and advised on the services of experts, information events were organized for them online, e.g. webinars and, if possible, also live events. In the project, the network of business developers was actively contacted, and additional training was organized for them on the topics they wished for, which has a direct positive effect on the quality of the service they provide. Due to the pandemic situation, new means of communication were developed in the project, such as various info videos and a podcast series called Omistajanvaihdospodi. The podcast was published on several different platforms, such as Central Ostrobothnian Entrepreneurs YouTube channel, on Spotify, Supla and through the Anchor.fm service on many other podcast platforms. The podcast accumulated a total of more than 1,500 plays during the project (updated 8/2022). Thanks to the active communication carried out in the project, many entrepreneurs in the area and those who want to become entrepreneurs were reached, for whom information about the change of ownership is relevant. In the application phase, the project has been estimated to immediately affect 100 SMEs within two years of the end of the project. The project manager received 43 contacts from buyers and sellers, there were a total of 158 participants in events & webinars. In addition to these more than 200 entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs, who have been contacted directly, the project has reached out via text messages, newsletters, social media posts, podcasts, videos, magazine and thousands of other people through radio interviews and participation in events, so it can be said that the impact on 100 SMEs is happening. The results have a direct impact on facilitating the change of ownership in the area. Increased discussion on the topic and better available information lowers the threshold to move the ownership change process forward. The media has been interested in the project and the project itself has also been actively communicated. There were a total of 19 stories about the project in newspapers, radio and news websites. The project has also been displayed in several different social media channels by partners, financiers and stakeholders. However, the greatest visibility was achieved when a video campaign was made in the project. The campaign consisted of three videos, for which some visibility was also bought on Facebook and YouTube. In the videos, three different entrepreneurs present their own story and path to entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurs and their stories are as follows: From dreams to reality through acquisition - Marvin Kiviniemi, Pyöräliike Lybäck, Continuity through generational change - Kimmo Peräaho, Peräahon Kone and From trainee to owner - Kirsi-Maria Saarinen, Kukka ja Tähti. With the set budget, the videos accumulated a total of 169,255 views on YouTube and 163,499 times on Facebook, they collected a total of 3,064 clicks. The project ended according to the plan in 8/2022.
